ZINARA Shocker: License Deadline Extension Scrapped

The Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA) has just pulled a fast one. After telling people that they had until the 30th of June to sort out their vehicle licensing, they have just woken up and decided that they were  going to throw that idea out of the window.

This means that from today, if you do not have your vehicle licensing in order you will be fined $45 and still be expected to go to get the licensing sorted.

The irony of it all is that the reason why this has been chaotic is because of them and their blaming ZESA. And just to make a laugh of it, there was no power in the Harare CBD this morning for about an hour.

How an authority can just wake up and make a decision without warning is beyond us. The argument that motorists had stopped licensing since the extension is immaterial. If you can’t hold yourself to your own decisions then where is the trust?

It’s a bit of a mess, if you ask ass. As they say in football, you don’t know what you’re doing.
