Oil Found In Kenya

Tullow Oil, a UK-based company  today announced that it has found oil in Kenya. Tullow discovered in excess of 20 metres net oil pay at the Ngamia-1 exploration well in Turkana country, situated in north-west Kenya.

Tullow is making its way into the East African market, concentrating its efforts on Kenya and Ethiopia. President Mwai Kibaki was obviously excited.

According to Tullow, the oil discovered in Kenya has similar properties to the light waxy crude discovered in Uganda.

While we congratulate the people of Kenya on this finding, we hope that this new finding will not result in the problems that come with wealth of that nature.
