University Of Zimbabwe Offering Traditional Healer Course

The University of Zimbabwe is now offering Traditional Healer courses, targeted at those brushing up their skills in the profession/calling.

The works of the n’anga have always been shrouded in mystery and it seems as if the country’s biggest university is working on dealing with that stigma.

Some of the things listed in the course include principles of law, business, ethics and things of that nature. Also included are issues to do with herbs and their safe use.

While we have never made a habit of going to visit traditional healers it is good that  some of the aspects of our heritage are being brought into the mainstream and not merely being consigned to spirits and evil ones at that.

Mind, you, would you go and visit a n’anga?
