Here is the link to Grace Mugabe’s PhD thesis…

Former first lady Grace Mugabe’s PhD thesis is now available on the University of Zimbabwe website.

Titled The changing social structure and functions of the family: The case of children’s homes in Zimbabwe it is credit to her maiden name Ntombidzodwa G Marufu.

She dedicated it to her husband, former head of state Robert Mugabe and thanked her supervisor Claude Mararike.

Dr Mugabe also thanked various people:

Chief Charumbira, Chief Negomo, Police Commissioner GeneralChihuri, Commissioner General Prison Services, Zimondi, ChiefMagistrate Guvamombe, Registrar General Tobaiwa Mudede, theseveral families and all those orphanages which participated in group discussions, your contributions deserve my acknowledgement. Mr Justin Tandire, my research assistant, was a pillar of support. He wasable to be in those places I could not be. Mr Tizora who provided thematerial support and encouragement, I thank him warmly.

It’s 226 pages long and should make for some interesting reading.

The authenticity of the doctorate has been called into question ever since she was accorded it with critics saying the fact that her work had not been made was an indication of some underhanded work.

A protest at the UZ recently called for it to be withdrawn with Mazowe South legislator Fortune Chasi among people calling for such an action.

Recently the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission said that it was not investigating any issue related to Grace’s doctorate.
