Zimbabwe end Netball Youth World Cup on a high
Zimbabwe ended their Netball Youth World Cup tournament on a high after beating hosts Botswana 56-41 in a 9th-10th playoff tie on Saturday.
The little Gems who were in the same pool as powerhouses Australia and South Africa were dominant in disposing of Northern Ireland (65-37) in the quarter final and Cook Islands (55=41) in the semi-finals.
They faced a Botswana side which failed to qualify for the 1-8 playoffs due to an inferior goal ration and with the home support were expected to win.
Zimbabwe finish 9th at the tournament.
