R150,000 For Information On Bafana Captain’s Killers

South African Police have offered a reward of R150,000 (USD13,720) for infprmation leading to the arrest of killers of Orlando Pirates Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa.


As we reported earlier, the Bafana captain was shot and died from wounds sustained.

The South Africa Police Service released more details in a break with protocol on Twitter:

Orlando Pirates Chairman Irvin Khoza said:

This is a loss to Senzo’s family, especially his children, to Orlando Pirates and the nation.

The club says it will be holding a press conference in the morning.

    That reward has since been upped to R250 000… when famous people die the world stops – when the same fate befalls us mere mortals all we get is a one day headline.. Sad things afoot in this our Africa

        And today one of them got the bright idea to erect a statue out of melted guns of the man at SAFA house… one comment about that that really got me laughing was “this is a good idea, let’s erect a statue of everyone who has died from violent crime and forget to allocate to funds to things that really matter like AIDS orphans and such”
