PSL to wait for reports from Caps and Shabanie Mine

The Premier Soccer League has received the match report on the violence that resulted in the abandonment of a Chibuku Super Cup quarter final tie between Caps United and Shabanie Mine on Sunday.

The PSL says it has further requested that both clubs send reports detailing what transpired after which appropriate action will be taken.

In condemning violence and hooliganism the PSL asked law enforcement agents to deal decisively with hooligans adding that all football leaders should teach fans about the dangers of violence in stadia.

The match was abandoned after Caps United scored from an offside position. Their fans then threw a missile which injured the assistant referee on the eye.

Shabanie Mine were leading 1-0 at that stage.
