Mapeza appointed interim Zimbabwe coach
FC Platinum gaffer Norman mapeza has been appointed as the interim Zimbabwe men’s football team coach.
It is not clear whether he will do both jobs or if he will simply be in charge of the international friendly between Zimbabwe and Zambia at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Zifa’s statememt seems to imply he will still remain as coach of FC Platinum:
Mapeza, who is currently the head coach of Premier Soccer League club, FC Platinum, will be in charge of the team on Sunday when the Warriors take on Chipolopolo at the National Sports Stadium.
Philip Chiyangwa, the Zimbabwe Football Association boss said on Monday that an acting local coach would be appointed.
Could this be it?
There has been no comment from the Mapeza camp.
