Defiant Kasuza earns draw for Zim A

Kevin Kasuza made an unbeaten 82 in the second unofficial test between Zimbabwe A and South Africa Emerging at Kwekwe Sports Club.

The battling half century came off 233 balls as he held his bat to save the match.

Chasing an improbable 444 Zimbabwe A ended the day on 257/8 after 99 overs.

The innings also featured a fighting 40 from Innocent Kaia and brave 26 off 62 from Charles Kunje.

It was a good outing but the hosts will worry about their bowling which conceded mammoth scores in the first innings of both matches.

The two sides now switch to three one-day games set for 16, 18 and 20 August – all at Harare Sports Club.
