Al Ahly Tripoli put sleepy Caps United to bed

Lybia’s Al Ahly Tripoli took advantage of Zimbabwean champions Caps United’s poor first half perfomance to pick a valuable 4-2 win away from home from National Sports Stadium.

Sameh Derbali and Salem Ablo twice meant the visitors led 3-0 at half time.

Debali made it four later in the second half.

Caps United tried to stage a comeback through Ronald Pfumbidzayi with a penalty and Hardlife Zvirekwi with a nodded goal.

It was not meant to be and Caps United will rue that first half where they at sixes and sevens allowing the tourists to take advantage.

In the other match in the same group USM Alger and Zamalek drew 1-1 in Egypt.
