2022 World Cup Final Will Be In Mid-December

The 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar is set to run from November to December.

FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke made the announcement today with the final set 18 Decmber. The tournament will be 28 days long.

He added that the tournament will be played over 28 days and negotiations will now take place over calendars from nations which would traditionally be playing their matches, mainly the European leagues.

The change of date has been necessitated by the fact that the weather in Qatar would be unforgiving at that time that the world cup is traditionally staged.
