Mujuru Death: Case Closed

The inquest into death of Solomon Mujuru concludes that there was no foul play in the death of the Retired General.

The Herald reports that the Attorney-General Mr Johannes Tomana has since instructed the police to treat the docket of the death of former Army Commander Gen Mujuru as a closed and completed matter.

The AG’s office is the only office in Zimbabwe empowered to use its discretion on whether or not to agree with a magistrate’s findings in any inquest.

There was a lot of speculation about what had caused the death of Mujuru with his family was demanding the exhumation of his remains for further forensic tests.

Although the inquest has been concluded, the death of  Mujuru will be on the lips of many people for a long time.

Can’t say we are surprised by the outcome to be honest. It was never going to be dramatic.
