Zim Songstress Sisiyanti Physically Attacked In SA [PICS]
South African-based Zimbabwean songstress Sisiyanti was physically attacked on her way home on Saturday evening, she told 3-mob.
Sisiyanti, real name Kudzai Sigauke, exclusively told 3-mob that she was on her way from Park Station where she was getting something from one of the Greyhound drivers around 7pm to catch a kombi to go home. As she was about to the get to the kombis in the Bree Station area a stranger who pretended to be walking in the opposite direction suddenly grabbed her by the throat and face. He then tried to drag her into a dark corner. Her screams alerted a stranger who helped fight him off.
The assailant then slammed her into the ground in main road and ran away.
She says she is recovering well and will be fine within a week. She sustained injuries to her face, knee and back.
We wish her a speedy recovery.
Sisiyanti is getting good reviews of her new single Zvinonaka Chete which we featured on this site.
The attack on her comes on the back of last week’s stabbing – 11 times – of Cape Town-based Zimbabwean musician Tonderai Adrian Muparutsa.
