Supreme Court Upholds Kenyan Poll Result

The Kenyan Supreme Court has unanimously rejected a petition by Raila Odinga to have the elections invalidated.

It means that Uhuru Kenyatta’s win has been declared compliant with the law. Subsequently, Kenyatta is declared president of Kenya. He is set to be sworn in as the fourth and youngest president of the country.

Odinga and his party had contested the results in 22 constitutions.

It remains to be seen what Odinga’s reaction will be. That is what everything hinges on.
