SA Billionaire Motsepe Gives Half Of His Assets To The Poor
South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe has given half of the assets generated by his family to poor South Africans.
Motsepe who is worth $2.65billion says the money to be given to the Motsepe Foundation will go towards assisting South African health and education issues with the view of making beneficiaries self-sustaining.
He said he was inspired to make this kind of contribution by Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as Warren Buffett who are part of the Giving Pledge, as well as the spirit of Ubuntu shown by his parents and those in his community.
The commentary online seems to point towards the hope that the money is used well.
Motsepe is the Executive Chair of Africa Rainbow Minerals Group.
