Redan Fuel Station In Bulawayo Destroyed By Fire

A service station run by Redan has been destroyed by fire in Bulawayo

According to Radio Dialogue’s Twitter account, the garage is on Main Street near the flea Market  on Five Avenue.

The fire, it is suspected, was started by sparks from a welding machine. Two fuel tanks were destroyed. Riot police have been called in to control the crowd. Four fire trucks called in are said to have run out water although the fire fighters had managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings.

UPDATE – 15:21 CAT: The army has been called in to help put the fire out. – 

UPDATE – 15:47 CAT: There are no reports of injuries at the moment

UPDATE – 16.25: The fire has been put out and this is how Redan service station looks like after the fire.
