Pioneer Dr Angeline Kamba dies
Dr Angeline Kamba, the first black Zimbabwean woman to head the National Archives has died.
Dr Kamba passed away on the 11th after a short illness.
Dr Kamba also served as a public commissioner and director of National Archives, vice president of International Council of Archives from 1984-1988 and member of the Catholic University of Zimbabwe. Add to that her work with he Zimbabwe International Book Fair board and that of the Harare International Festival of the Arts board.
She was also the wife of the first black vice chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe the late Professor Walter Kamba.
Dr Kamba is survived by two sons and two grandchildren.
Mourners are gathered at Number 3 Hogsback Lane Hogerty Hills in Borrowdale, Harare.
She will be buried on Monday.
She was 82.
