Chiwenga, Mohadi appointed VPs of Zanu-PF

As expected, Zanu-PF president and head of state of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Retired General Constantino Chiwenga and defence minister Kembo Mahadi as vice presidents and second secretaries of the party.

The money had been bang on Mohadi given his Zapu links and after the retirement pending redeployment of Rtd Gen Chiwenga from commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. General Philip Valerio Sibanda took his place.

The appointments are with immediate effect.

It is now expected that they will both be installed as vice presidents of Zimbabwe.
