Adam Chisvo Dies

Zimbabwe’s music industry was last night rocked by the sudden death of legendary percussionist Adam Chisvo.

Chisvo died at Harare Hospital from sugar diabetes-related complications.

A gentle giant, Adam was a constant in the music industry having worked with an impressive array of musicians among whom were Oliver Mtukudzi, Busi Ncube, Chiwoniso Maraire, Victor Kunonga and Andy Brown.

Artists and members of the public expressed shock and sorrow on social media.

It is indeed a sad day for the music industry and a huge void has been left in industry that needed one of its inclusive figures to lead the way.

That said we are proud of the contribution he had made up until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife and 3 children. He was 48.
