Apostle Kapandura Blurs Decency Line [AUDIO INSIDE]

There is a sermon that has gone somewhat viral by a pastor called Kapandura. When I heard it I thought to myself Jesus (with a little j) this is what it now takes to increase the church headcount in Zimbabwe? The uncouthness of this sermon does not only reduce the intended message to some base level but exudes a certain unrefinement on the part of the good pastor that is shocking to say the least.

So the sermon is on adultery and many of the viles that mankind has had since Adam and Eve had a taste of the forbidden apple. What is shocking however is the blatant manner that is used to deliver the message.

Kapandura uses words that Tupac himself (May his soul rest in peace) would have used sparingly in church. In the sermon the man of cloth exhausted all the expletives found in the ghetto dictionary, disregarding any family members Ambuya ne Mukwasha and kids who might have gone to his sermon to get spiritual nourishment.

We here in the boat wonder what had possessed the man to decide to be so vulgar. We think there’s a thin line between truth and being crass and Kapandura really blurs that line. We also wonder what kind of background the pastor has for him to be able to express himself like that.

As for the cheering crowd our only explanation of their behaviour is that people generally have a messiah mentality and any person claiming to be a man of God who is different is indeed Godsend.  However we feel its time Zimbabweans start making some people accountable, Kapandura was not the responsible leader in society that he was meant to be. He should have found another way to make his point. We however are just a bunch of sinners so where do we get off?

We wish we could print some of the words that he used but being that we are a “family friendly” site doing so would have conflicted with our moral compass however for the strong hearted listen audio clip below. We recommend you use earphones or do it when the kids and father in-law is sleeping.

it is very unfortunate that today’s church is no more interested in preaching righteousness …. prosperity has taken credence over crucial matters in xristianity. thumps up Apostle Kapandura

    • You have to say if anyone has to talk about issues it is the church right?

  • evablazing

Well its very funny how we always expect things to be done in a religious way. Who says things should never be said the way they are? Anyway this sermon is when he is addressing the congregation trying to convince them/us in the direct way not in parables. He calls a spade a spade thumbs up pastor Kapandura

the real gospel we need to hear is about Christ crucified, His love for me caught in sin and how He is able to cleanse me and bring me to the Father

It is important to understand that this was a couples retreat , so it resonates with the forum. The attendees knew what they were going to and were expecting that. The people who got the recordings unlawfully are the ones crying foul. Leave this man alone ….. He is hitting very hard and real points here , he says them in a somewhat crude way which will never be forgotten which is precisely the intention . Example he says I am not an NGO that says kana wakundika shandisa condom , you must be faithful always and not rely on condoms ….which is a real issue. What is it that the woman next door has that your wife doesn’t have . Munhu wemurume ngaazvibate avimbike kumudzimai wake…..I think he makes good points
