Zimbabwean Woman Operated By Indian Doctors To Reduce Weight Dies
Natasha Tembo, the woman whose life had been extended by Indian doctors in a risky surgery has died.
Tembo, who was 28, who was morbidly obese before the operation weighing in at 230kg had lost an incredible 70kg. She died in her sleep on Sunday.
Speculation is that the rate at which she had lost weight had been too drastic resulting in heart failure in her sleep.
She was buried on Tuesday.
Last month we had reported that she had had an operation to reduce the size of her stomach and changing her digestive system’s anatomy to battle weight issues from as far back as her childhood. The operation had been deemed 100% risky and the first of its kind in India.
To Natasha, we say rest in peace.
