Zambia Faces Food Shortage

For a moment the the nation of Zambia seems to have forgotten the problems of this world as they are still caught up in the euphoria of winning AFCON 2012.

But soon reality will make an unwelcome return. According to the Jesuit Center for Theological Reflection (JCTR) Zambia may not meet the domestic demand in terms of food crops.

JCTR Director Leonard Chiti has attributed this situation to inadequate rainfall experienced this farming season.

The Powers-That-Be will wish that this joyful feeling of togetherness lasts a little bit longer and that people do not complain about things as loud as they did before the victory.

People tend to be forgiving in times of national achievement. When a team wins at a level that Chipolopolo did the victory is shared equally among rich and poor, but for how long we ask?
