St John’s Emerald Hill to receive R850k in scholarships for Schools Quiz triumph
St John’s Emerald Hill will this coming Thursday receive the Thabo Mbeki Legacy Trophy and R850,000 in Pearson Scholarships after excelled in the National Schools Quiz Championships in 2017.
St John’s Emerald Hill out performed the top 32 schools from around SADC that traveled to South Africa for the biggest televised academic sport.
Other prizes to be handed out are the Sir Fruit Spirit Award which goes to Kuwadzana 2 High, the Mphelo Award of Excellence to Goromonzi High and recognition for Marist Brothers Nyanga, St Ignatius College, Dominican Convent, ZRP High, Prince Edward, St Davids Bonda, Regina Mundi, Monte Casino, St Faith and Hartzel.
The red carpet event which takes place at Ster Kinekor, Eastgate Mall in Harare will be addressed by the three ministries.
