Severe Influenza Virus Claims A Life
A sever influenza virus that is doing the rounds in Zimbabwe has claimed a life and infected 400,000.
The government, however, says that it is not related to the h1n1 virus. That essentially means it is not generally deadly.
The current strain is said to only affect old people, pregnant women and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The Epidemiology and Disease Control department in the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare says that if anyone gets sick from flu, they should visit the doctor as soon as possible.
However because flu is seasonal, the health authorities do not advise panic.
The fact though, that one person died, leaves you a bit uncomfortable. One would hate to be that statistic.
