Google Shows Off Driverless-Car

So yesterday Google, (yes the search engine giant) released a rather compelling video demonstrating the potential of its self-driving car.

Since 2010 Google has been hiring a team of robotics experts to develop a computer-led system that will enable cars to drive themselves.

The video shows Steve Mahan, who is 95 percent blind, driving around in the Google car which has been developed using the Toyota Prius.
The car does not need to be controlled, so no need to turn the steering wheel,or have your foot on the pedal. The car has safely completed more than 200,000 miles of computer-led driving, gathering a lot of enthusiastic supporters.

Having grown up watching Knight-Rider this is a dream come true for some of us.There are many benefits to self driven cars. But thinking of a future were there are cars casually driving themselves on the street is kind of a scary.

See the video of the Google Car below and tell us what you think.
