Botswana To Scrap Zimbabwe Temporary Travel Documents
Botswana will from the first of April stop accepting Temporary Travel Documents from Zimbabweans trying to enter its borders.
This was confirmed by the assistant regional immigration officer-in-charge of the western region, based at Plumtree Border Post, Nqobile Ncube.
It means anyone planning to get into that country you will have to use a passport.
It appears the reason for this is the computerisation of the Botswana border posts.
South Africa banned the use of these documents after it also computerised its system for security reasons.
So you have been warned. No ETDs to get into Botswana.
