Zimbo Josh Ansley makes it to top 7 of The Voice SA

South Africa voted and Zimbabwean Josh Ansley made it safely to the top 7 of the hit M-Net television music competition The Voice SA.

Sadly Tender Mavundla bowed out this weekend after she received the least number of votes.

Her coach Lira said to South Africa:

 This is what happens when you talk a lot and don’t vote.

Josh meanwhile performed Michael Bolton’s When A Man Loves A Woman and got a standing ovation.

Voting is easy on both SMS and on WeChat. Follow these step-by-step instructions:

SMS Voting

  1. To vote for your favorite talent, SMS your talent’s unique voting number to 33692
  2. Each SMS is charged at R1.50. Free SMS or SMS bundles do not apply. Make sure that your Caller Line Identity (CLI) is switched on.
  3. SMS voting is limited to 100 votes per user

WeChat Voting

  1. To vote via WeChat, you will need to log on to the WeChat Application on your mobile smartphone.
    1. Voting on WeChat is free, but do note that data costs of your Internet Service Provider will apply.
  2. If you haven’t already, download WeChat to your smart phone, and add the official account ID mnettv as a contact.
  3. Click on the vote menu item or send the keyword ‘vote’
  4. If you haven’t already done so, verify your cell phone number by typing in your number in the international format e.g. +27731234567
  5. You will receive an OTP code via SMS
  6. Enter the OTP and get verified
  7. Once verified you will receive a vote card
  8. Click on the vote card
  9. Choose your favourite talent
  10. Choose your number of votes and cast your vote
  11. Voting on WeChat is limited to 100 votes per user
