Zimbabwe’s Insingizi to perform at Special Olympics Winter World Games 2017

Bulawayo trio Insingizi continue to break boundaries and the latest is a scheduled performance at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics Winter World Games in Austria on 18 March 2017.

The ceremony will take place at the Planai Stadium in Schladming.

The Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 will see the marching in of all 107 delegations in the Planaistadium, the Special Olympics flag, the Special Olympics oath and the “Flame of Hope”, just a few highlights of this special event.

This year’s theme is “Heartbeat of the world”.

Said the trio:

We are excited to be performing as the only act from Africa. Our performance slot is 12 min and we will perform our best of program (a selection of songs from our 3 CDs Voices of Southern Africa vol 1&2 and African Harmonies). It feels good to see that our Art is respected out there and we are looking forward to creating more opportunities.

So proud.

Zimbabwe do not have a team at the games. So Insingizi will be in the conversation.
