WATCH THIS: History Maker Brian Soko’s Grammy Award Speech

Zimbabwe-born producer Brian Soko received two GRAMMYs a few weeks ago becoming the first Zimbabwean to do so.

Shoko also becomes the youngest Afriican to be nominated and to win in multiple categories of the BMIs and GRAMMYs.

Soko and his crew ‘The Order’ (includes Rasool Diaz and Andre Proctor) scooped  Best R&B Song ‘Drunk In Love’ and Best R&B Performance ‘Drunk In Love’. They were nominated in five categories.

I just hope the people of Zimbabwe are proud of me for this achievement and that this sends a message to young African creative professionals around the world, that anything is possible if you work hard doing what you love.

Meanwhile, Soko  has a nomination at the upcoming South Africa METRO FM Awards for ‘Song of the Year’ for Cassper Nyovest record breaking hit ‘Phumakim’ and a nomination for Album of the Year’ on K.O ‘Skhanda Republic’ for production work on the single ‘Mission Statement’.
