Tuku Returns To Womad UK This Year
The legendary Oliver Mtukudzi returns to the premier world music festival Womad this year, the organisers have confirmed.
The festival which is held in the northern summer at Charltorn Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire will feature Tuku for the first time in over 10 years. He is currently on a ten-city tour of the states.
Also announced as confirmed are Mali’s Bassekou Kouyate, folk supergroup the Gloaming and the UK’s Nitin Sawhney.
Last year, the trailblazing Mokoomba were at the festival.
Womad is on 24-27 July. Adult tickets cost £160.
