Tributes have been pouring out for the late Studio 263 Actress Pretty Xaba who has lost her battle to cancer.

People from all walks of life shared their grief as news of the loss of a woman who played Mai Muvengwa on Zimbabwe’s leading soap opera filtered in.

Fellow artists and family members weighed in on the sad news.

Her daughter Hope Chakombera described her as an incredible woman:

My mother passed away this evening. On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to thank everyone who has supported us emotionally, financially and spiritually throughout my mother’s sickness. She fought till the end, she was an incredible woman who will forever be cherished. Her body is still in India, arrangements are underway to bring her home. The love and support from all of you has been overwhelming, thank you for everything you have done for Pretty Xaba. Her soul is at peace.

Musician Edith Weutonga said:

Go well Pretty Xaba. God had His own plans with you….we tried our best..

Jinilika Dance chief Plot Mhako shared his sorrow:

PRETTY XABA may your Soul Rest in Peace. you fought a great fight and ran a fruitful race. your legacy in the arts lives forever.
