Tribalism Claim Against Skyz Metro FM

After the shortlisting of 50 candidates for work at Bulawayo’s Skyz Metro FM was accused by some of tribalism.

The claim was because of the number of non-shona people employed by the station as opposed to Ndebele people. 11 Shonas were shortlisted for positions.

We find that weird. Like so freaking weird.

After all, critics probably  Kalanga, Sotho and Venda surnames as all Ndebele. Which is so ignorant.

Mind you, if we are to be all serious about it, Harare stations do not catch any flack for having a very small non-Shona representation do they?

We think people just enjoy being offended.

Some of the people who have reportedly joined the station(hand-picked we hear), set to go live in September are Miss Toursim 2010 Samantha Tshuma, socialites Gilmore Tee, Mbo Mahocs and Babongile Sikhonjwa,  gospel star Skhulukile ‘Skhu’ Mpofu.

The station will broadcast from Amakhosi Cultural Centre.
