STREAM & REVIEW: Mik Manjengwa’s debut album Legend Status out now

Sticking to his Rnb roots, burgeoning singer Masimba ‘Mik’ Manjenjwa has released his debut album Legend Status: A Book About Girls.

The twelve track project is his first under Njuzu Ent and it includes the infectiously catchy single This Love written by the famous Delani Makhalima. On it, the 23 year old smoothie and his friends delivers an album that bursts with seductive grooves and thumping rhythms. With Mik’s soothing voice elegantly sweeping over these slow burning songs, it is filled with intricate melodies and hypnotic vibes that aurally seduce the listener into submission.

Lyrically, as the title suggests, the album centers around the subjects of relationships: devotion, trust, admiration, sex and so on. However, it is Mik’s versatility, the features that includes Mile and Marcques, as well as the production that keeps LSABAG sounding fresh and enjoyable.

With its ambient trapsoul, electro-house and pop-meet Rnb gusto, it is a full album of sensual cuts, from serious ballads to ingratiating dancefloor numbers, and virtually no filler.
