Slikour, Lady K and Tehn among panelists at Zim Hip Hop Summit
Multi-award winning South African hip hop star Slikour is part of the panels at the inaugural Zim Hip Hop Summit at Shoko Festival 2017.
The businessman who is one of the founding members of Skwatta Kamp will take part in one of three panel discussions exploring important aspects of the Zim hip-hop industry. He comes through courtesy of the Zim.
Also on the panel of discussions are ZiFM Stereo’s The Fixx presenter Lady K, Star FM’s Dj Mox, award winning videographer Blaqs, ZIMURA director Polisile Ncube, Phil Chard (The African Hip Hop Blog), PD The Ghost, Keisha Thompson (UK), Rafael Tudesco (Brasil), Mambila Mageza (from In Place of War), beatboxer Probeatz and Joel Gombera (Senior Manager – Group Marketing CBZ holdings).
Rappers will be represented by Stunner, Cal Vin, and Tehn among others.
The topics to be discussed are:
- The state of Zimbabwe’s hip-hop industry
- The business of hip-hop
- Lyricism, conflict and free expression
The summit takes place at the Shoko site on 30 September in the Harare Library.
