Red Fox Backs C&A After Mavado No-Show
Red Fox Hotel which has become the home of marasta in Harare has come out backing Clint Robinson, C&A and Guru Entertainment after Mavado’s failure to make Zimbabwe date set for Friday 16 December.
In a statement released by its head Robert Zhuwao on their Facebook group paged Red Fox said:
Family… It is unfortunate that the Mavado show had to be postponed. Please note that the Promoter, Guru Entertainment is a seasoned promoter that Red Fox has had cordial dealings with. I do not doubt their abilities and their intentions to bring in headline acts into the country. They have expended a lot of money in terms of putting together the Mavado show and are equally as disappointed as we all are. Lets rally behind each other as family and understand that this is an unforseen set back which happens in the entertainment industry. One love.
With the Red Fox Sting Fest coming next week many would have thought that they would be doing cartwheels as fest becomes the only international show of December 2011. However, it is refreshing to see this show of solidarity, something rare in Zimbabwe’s music industry.
Mavado’s show has been moved to 27 January 2012.
