Here’s A Rare Sight in Zimbabwe; Female Comedians!

The boys at Simuka Comedy have pulled a fast one and handed out something that has been on the lips of comedy lovers in Zimbabwe.

Female comedians.

Tuesday 3 December will see, for the first time in a while, a female comedian hit the stage at a venue in Harare. The last time we saw one was donkey years ago when comedy legend Michael Kudakwashe’s sister Michelle used to take to the stage.

Now we have Kessia Masona, Izzy the Wit and host Wadzanai Blaqpearl will be joined by Simba The Comic King.

This is part of a new initiative (what is  a Zim statement without the word initiative?) by Simuka which will see them have a comedy night every Tuesday of the month of December.

They also have an eye on that 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and we like that.

So make your way to the ALMOST All Divas Comedy Night at Book Cafe.

It’s $5. Oh and there is music too from Kessia.

So yeah…
