Old Mutual Increases Investment In HIFA
Old Mutual has significantly increased its sponsorship of the Harare International Festival of the Arts this year after taking ownership of the final day.
This sponsorship is in addition to another partnership that it has with HIFA through CABS.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, Old Mutual Group CEO Jonas Mushosho said modern Zimbabwean society has not fully harnessed resources for the identification, nurturing and promotion of talent in the arts. As a result his company has identified arts and culture as a key growth area that has the potential of contributing significantly to the revival and sustenance of the economy and culture.
Speaking on the lack of financial discipline in the arts industry, Mushowo bemoaned the riches rags stories prevalent in the sector. With that in mind Old Mutual will be giving its new financial course, On The Money – The Big Five Secrets of Money Management to artists participating in HIFA this year.
HIFA kicks off on 30 April and runs until 5 May.
