Khuli Chana To Headline Shoko Festival
MTN South African Music Award-winning South African hip hop heavyweight Khuli Chana will headline this year’s Shoko Festival, the organisers have revealed.
In a press conference held on Monday afternoon in Harare, Festival Director Samm Farai Monro said this year’s festival which will be held between 17 and 22 September will feature over 250 artists from three continents.
Chana will perform on the Saturday night and comes to Zimbabwe and comes on the back of a very successful SAMA in which he bagged 3 awards.
Also on the bill are Korean-German duo Symbiz Sound, an innovative producer live act ensemble. Just to give you and idea of how major they are, they have done all sorts of collaborations, one with Vybz Karyel, no less.
Also coming through are female comedian Tumi Morake from South Africa. Mzungu kichaa (Tanzania) and Kagiso Lediga(South Africa) as well local acts Jnr Brown, Dhadza D, Hope Masike &The Monkey Nuts, Carl Joshua Ncube and Clive Chigubhu are among acts who will pull through.
More names will be dropped as soon as they are confirmed over the coming weeks.
