Figo Leaves Bulawayo And Promises To Return
Footballing legend Luis Figo has left Bulawayo with a promise to return, reports The Southern Eye.
Figo was accompanied on this short visit by SA businessman Gayton Mackenzie confirmed that “like any other businessman [he is] looking for opportunities but this was just a short visit”. He said Bulawayo was quiet and peaceful and promised to return.
Mackenzie however claimed the visit was part of a plan to have Figo along with other world football legends play exhibitions matches in Harare and Bulawayo with the Zimbabwe Warriors legends.
Portuguese star Figo, who played for Benfica, Barcaelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan turned heads when he was reported as being in the city yesterday.
