Davido no longer coming after three friends die in one week

Nigerian musician Davido will no longer be performing at the launch of Jah Prayzah’s latest album Kutonga Kwaro  the organisers have confirmed.

He has been questioned by police in connection with the death of three friends Olugbemiga Abiodun aka DJ Olu,  Chime Amaechi and Tagbo Umeike died.

Dj Olu and Amaechi were found lifeless in the former’s BMW car parked in the underground garage of Block B, Banana Island, Lagos on Saturday.

Umeike was said to have drunk 40 tequila shots at the Shisha Bar in Lagos. He was rushed and dumped at the Lagos Island General Hospital. He subsequently passed away.

Davido is not treated as a suspect in any of the deaths. He attended Olu’s funeral on Friday.

Organisers of the event say Oliver Mtukudzi and Winky D will now take his stead in the show slated for the Harare International Conference Centre on Friday.

They add that if a person has a $20 ticket, they can redeem $10 as a drinks voucher or bring a plus one.
