Bulawayo ladies hosting a High Tea event in Midrand

It’s a year into the dream and two Bulawayo ladies, Bonnie Chimanikire and Ntombizodwa Sibanda will host the latest High Tea event at in Midrand on 12 November 2016.

Chimanikire is a business coach while Sibanda is attorney, thought leader and a young lady who is passionate about human rights. These two ladies are passionate about women and joined forces in a bid to change the narrative around women collaborating together in business.


The High Tea will be hosted in the lush beautiful landscaped gardens that are on 40 Lyncon Road in Midrand. With a picturesque view this venue has a timeless beauty perfect for a summer high tea. The guests will enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea in the beautiful garden accompanied by a delectable lunch prepared by the in-house Chef. Every detail has been deliberately looked into with a Fashion show directed by one of Zimbabwe’s own Ngugi Vere, entertainment from Neo-Soul artist Prayersoul and MCeeing by Zimbabwe’s first plus size model RuTendo DeNise.

The stellar event will have the following Speakers:

  • Matthew Mensah a businessman, humanitarian and a philanthropist. He has worked with the UN and different governments across Africa on humanitarian campaigns including peace campaigns in Liberia and Sierra Leone for the past 9 years.
  • Thandi Zwana a film industry guru who has made an astounding contribution towards the South African film industry. Born in Zimbabwe, Thandi has represented the South African film industry at local and international platforms as a panellist at forums such as the Association of Film Commissioners International in Los Angeles (AFCI) and the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) in New York.
  • Cynthia Mkhombo an Entrepreneur who owns a cleaning services company Masana which has received numerous awards in the Business Sector. In 2010 alone, South African magazine CEO named Cynthia as one of the most influential woman in business and professional services, and the Businesswomen’s Association selected her as the winner in its Entrepreneur category.
  • Songezo Zibi is the Head Of Communications, Barclays Africa,  former editor of the Business Day, South Africa’s only standalone and highly respected business daily. Coming from an executive background having worked for companies such as Xstrata and Volkswagen he is the perfect candidate for this event as The High Tea caters for women in entrepreneurship as well as the corporate space. Songezo is also a successful published author.

The High Tea is a glamorous annual event that seeks to host an elegant tea communal which is always the perfect excuse for ladies to dress up, mingle with other women from all walks of life, network and just enjoy a great afternoon filled with wine, tea, heavenly sweet treats and music.
