Bucie & Trae Yung To Headline Thursday At Shoko Festival
On the 24thof September, South African Rn’B & house songstress Busisiwe ‘Bucie’ Nqwiliso and Zimbabwe’s foremost female emcee Trae Yung will perform at Shoko Festival 2015 at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences.
The two ladies will lead the opening line- up of acts such as Macy Huber, Mutle Mothibe, Nova Masango, Donald Kanyuchi, Noble Stylz plus many more.
Bucie has shared the stage with greats like Judith Sephuma, Tshepo Tshola and Arthur Mafokate among others. Bucie’s 2014 hit “Easy to love” has been on heavy rotation in the region and has seen her perform at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards.
Trae Yung never looked back since her nomination Zimbabwe Hip Hop awards Best Female Hip Hop artist in 2011. The ‘Ndikoko’ hit-maker has stood her own in the male dominated music genre and is reputed for her collaborative skills with artists from different genres such as dancehall and Rn’B.
Shoko Festival is set to run from the 24th to the 26th September 2015, Shoko is the biggest festival of urban culture in Zimbabwe and has established itself as a major event on Zimbabwe’s annual arts calendar. The festival is set to run for 3 days and is being produced by Magamba Network supported by the Culture fund of Zimbabwe, Danida, the European Union & the Embassy of Sweden.
