In our audio with him Comrade Fatso was perplexed by why the city council which had approved plans for existig structures was now demolishing a place that inspired many youths.

They [the Harare City council] don’t have a court order or nothing. We have fully approved plans but still they wanted to come through and wanted to demolish the structure. We have managed to have it pushed back for a week and still they have given us a week to remove these structures or they all will come and destroy them… so why does the ┬áCity Council want to come one of these few spaces of hope and inspiration in the city.

He called for action:

Put pressure on the City Council, make calls to the mayor, to the town clerk, to your elected councillor and even the minister of local government [Saviour Kasukuwere] to stop this demolition from happening.
