In a shocking development, Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has been arrested by the hawks.

Although details remain sketchy, Motaung stands accused of forgery and fraud in relation to his role in the construction of the Mbombela Stadium ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, according to Kick Off.

The construction of the stadium had always been fraught with irregularities. Mbombela municipality speaker Jimmy Mohlala, was shot dead in his house after he blew the whistle in a construction report .

Bobby, son of Kaizer Motaung has never been far from controversy. In 2000, he was among seven arrested in connection with a syndicate scam alleged to have fleeced the taxman of more than R100-million.
