Half of the team that is representing Zimbabwe at the Junior World Rugby Trophy finals in Utah in the United States are on banned substances.

The shock news was revealed yesterday and will come as a huge disappointment to the game, which has been making serious strides.

The International Rugby Board will now charge as many as 13 under-20 players representing Zimbabwe at the finals.

The names of the players will not be released until the players are notified and other procedures are followed.

New Zimbabwe revealed that it the Zimbabwe Rugby Union was aware that some players were juiced up but chose to do nothing about it. Perhaps they did not expect the random test. They really should have been on the ball and this is a huge embarrassment.

Given the fact that they had lost all 3 matches this scandal adds insult to injury.
