Rodney King, the man whose beating was at the centre of the Los Angeles Riots in the early 90s has died.

According to TMZ King was found dead at his home by his fiancee.

King became famous after the LAPD were caught on tape beating him which led to the riots of 1992. The policemen in acquitted of police brutality after a year-long inquiry.

He had been unwell for a while.

The cause of his death is yet unknown as this is a developing story.
