Urban groover Taurai Mandebvu has been arrested after beating a housebreaker to death.

He is said to have been involved in the murder of a housebreaker who entered his family home in hatfield at 3.30am on Saturday morning.

The fatal beating happened with the help his father, sister, a domestic worker and 2 neighbours.

Harare province police spokesperson Inspector James Sabau said:

Yes I can confirm that Taurai Mandebvu was arrested and is facing murder charges after he, in the company of his father, maid, sister and two neighbours assaulted the deceased who attempted to break into their family home but luck ran out of him. He was in the company of two accomplices who escaped and they were armed with knives and spears. A fight ensued between the suspects and the family and some of the family members in fact sustained injuries.

The Better Man star has been riding a strong wave of success at the moment and seemed to be making something of a breakthrough in his career.
