David Hatendi, the former NMB Holdings and MBCA CEO has died. He passed away peacefully in his sleep last night.
Hatendi was the first ever black Rhodes scholar from Zimbabwe.
A shrewd Investment Banker Hatendi was CEO of NMB for just three months after it emerged that the bank was defrauded of $6.3 million. Prior to that he had been at MBCA.
At the time of his death he was chairman of Rhodes Trustees and Northern Tobacco.
His death has been described as unexpected.
The country mourns the departure of fine human being. The banking industry is at a loss.
