More details have emerged surrounding the arrest of Star FM’s DJ Munya.
He was picked up by police in connection with the disappearance of O’neal Tinashe Magorimbo, a Human Resources Officer at the Public Service Medical Aid Society. Magorimbo died on Sunday of suspected poisoning by pesticide.
It would appear as if Magorimbo went missing on Monday. It was only on Thursday that his wife Millicent Chambadza made a report to the police.
The report came on the back of the DJ Munya, real name Munyaradzi Milimo, visited Chambadza and told her that he knew where her husband was and that he was fine adding that he would be returned by Friday at 4pm. Magorimbo was discovered unconscious near his flat on Saturday. He was taken to the hospital where he died the following day.
Key to the police investigation would be proving that he was indeed forcibly poisoned Magorimbo as is suspected. What will be interesting is the evidence already gathered by the police, that they have not shared with the public. Did Munya perhaps confess to kidnapping unaware that the man was in dire straits and would die the next day?
